Who made the document, and what role did they hold? A primary source should be read alongside its purpose and audience.

Context / הקשר / السياق

Record the date, publication setting and edition. A translated excerpt should preserve the original language and identify the translator.

Evidence / עדות / الدليل

Separate a statement in the document from a later interpretation. Record a page or stable link for each claim.

Review / סקירה / المراجعة

An editor checks quotations, translation and licensing before changing a draft to published.
