MOSHE LEVI / LIVING ARCHIVE

Textbooks and incitement

Every source is a beginning, not the last word. Text, place and time meet here, with document references, evidence separated from interpretation, and room for uncertainty.

Editorial draft — review required

Research focus

Research on Palestinian textbook content, representations of others and discourse about violence.

Research question

Under what contextual criteria can a particular passage be assessed for incitement, with its original text and translation shown in full?

Reading approach

Each textbook analysis will identify the title, publisher, edition, publication year, age group and page. Assessing a passage as incitement requires explicit criteria, quotation in context and a faithful translation; it does not establish a conclusion about every textbook or an entire population.

This page describes a research topic and its questions. Dr. Moshe Levi’s papers, source examples and findings will be added when supplied; none are invented here.

Analysis

An editorial research framework, not a conclusion about society as a whole.

Source title and type are presented separately from analysis. Reviewing a link does not verify every claim it contains.
